Casino’s have sprung up in recent years as Poker became one of the world’s biggest games. Mint is your run of the mill casino that caters for the low end of the market, so don’t be surprised to walk in and be greeted by a clutch of doorman and the warbling sounds of Phil Collins. Like many casino’s around the country, the décor is horribly dated and does little to remove the connotations of bad taste that surround casino’s. For those who are poker fans, you’ll find regular cash and tournament games that start from about £5, getting up well in to the hundreds.

This isn’t a bad casino but not the best in the city really. Its a bit small and dingy but the staff are all really friendly. We used to go here before the pubs stayed open late to get a beer so don’t go as much now. The roulette tables are pretty good but the blackjack is usually a bit too crowded. They have poker nights there too but I’ve only ever played the roulette(and usually lost!) You can get free sandwiches as long as you’re playing so quite a good idea if your feeling a bit peckish and fancy a gamble.
