The things I love about Millie’s Cookies: The flavours & combinations of the ingredients The things I loathe about Millie’s Cookies: A single cookie costs 99p and you have to buy a minimum of 4 or 6 to see any real discount. Sometimes the cookies are a decent size and sometimes they are much smaller and drier. In the morning, the cookies are usually warm and tasty but by mid afternoon, they often taste hard and dry. To top it off, the surly teenagers serving the cookies usually look like they never want to see one again. However you do the maths, it doesn’t add up in the customers favour, does it?!

Millie’s Cookies is perfect for these long days of bargain hunting — I mean, one can only shop for so long without ingesting some sugar. Millie’s is a permanent kiosk offering freshly baked cookies at 99p each. The selection is fairly small, which I suppose vouches for the freshness. When I stopped by, they had chocolate chip, Smartie, oatmeal reason and some sort of raspberry and chocolate concoction. Yum. Muffins are also available, although I didn’t see any, and the cookie-n-ice-cream looks a bit like an unmixed Blizzard from Dairy Queen. There are deals for buying multiples — in 4s or 6s — and the math has already been done for you, showing you the savings right on the sign. Christmas items include large Santa-shaped iced cookies, and fancy, festive tins to load up cookies in. Cookie ‘pops’ are available for £1.19 if you prefer your cookie on a stick. I went with the oatmeal raisin(stick-less), which was soft and delicious, and helped me continue on the sale quest.

I’m afraid I have to differ slightly from Ross M. on this; likewise, Millie’s cookies bring back fond memories of treating mysely/being treated by mummy on a shopping outing — I can still taste that warm, chocolately goodness! — but as an adult, the cookies are smaller, drier, less tasty, and more expensive. Maybe they haven’t changed — just my perspective since mummy stopped paying… but overall, they’re blooming underwhelming! To avoid this, get yourself to nearby Duke Street Ben’s Cookie’s — these will not disappoint.

I used to love Millies Cookies when I was 12. Since then, I’ve got older, but these little things seem to have stayed exactly the same — maybe that’s a negative, or maybe it means there just so damn perfect they don’t need to evolve. Personally, I think I’m in the latter camp. The cookies here are still delicious, still good value and I still always find myself wanting more afterwards.

I like to go here from time-to-time to indulge in the irresistible smell and flavour of their cookies. the staff are friendly and ready to help when you want to order. the selection of ice cream is delicious as well as offering smoothies and sundaes. the meal deals are worth looking out for and there is a current promotion where if you buy 6 cookies, you get 6 free! but overall, very tasty cookies!
