The Mill House is a great traditional family pub, its location outside of Brighton in Portslade means that it is rarely over-busy but its beer garden and friendly atmosphere keep a constant flow of revellers particularly in the summer months. The venue shows most sporting events but as the inside bar has 3 sections as well as a garden it is possible to get away from the cheers/sobs if you wish. the last time i went they were renovating do didnt have much of a menu on but did off cheap as chips organic pizzas for the starving.

In summer this place is always buzzing on the weekends and certain nights during the week as it has a cracking beer garden and plenty of space for all your pubbing needs. Pool and darts are kept out of the way so that people can enjoy these without having to be stopped every 2 minutes by people walking through. There is 3 sections of the pub, one saloon type area, a pool area and an area in the middle where most of the festivites happen. I agree with Samantha that this is a good pub now and all those people who knew what it was like a few years ago should give it a second chance because it hasn’t always been this nice.

The Mill House is a proper family pub situated slightly out of town in Portslade. The venue has recently gone under new management so are currently developing their menu, however gorgeous organic pizzas are still available. They have regular live music nights as well as a quiz nights… official week days are yet to be confirmed. Its has a very friendly atmosphere and traditional ambiance. its obviously been pub for years and years. They have Sky Sports and show all the big matches, but if thats not what your into the venue is big enough that you can escape. Its a great place to take the kids on a Saturday afternoon not only for the bouncey castle but the friendly staff and facilities to suit all tastes.
