At the beginning of every week, I vow to never eat fish and chips ever again. It’s not because I don’t like it(I love fish and chips), but I’ve eaten so much of it during my brief time here, that I think the grease is taking its toll on my health. I get tired walking up the stairs to my flat, and usually end up sweating when I reach the top, which is particularly scary because I only live on the second floor. But after getting my computer repaired, I saw Lams Fish & Chicken House, and I couldn’t help myself. Now, there is a noticeable amount of grease in the chips. That is to be expected. No grease would remove the crispiness of the badder, and the result would just be soggy fish. That’s not ideal. So, while there is a significant amount of grease, it isn’t so much where you question whether you should eat it. The taste is quite good, and the fish tastes fresh. It’s just a bit out of the way. But if you’re on Carden Avenue and are craving some fish with some chips, definitely stop by.
