What a blinding shop! I’ve been looking for a certain style of hat for ages. I’ve been to brick lane, petticoat lane, spittal fields market, east lane everywhere to look for this hat and I found it at Immediate clothing. I do like the style of clothing that is for sale especially the t-shirts and I will definitely be visiting them. Spot on! I will be letting my friends know about this wonder of a shop! See you soon.

Somewhere between a nostalgic’s and first year student’s idea of heaven, this great second hand store is stacked with old leather jackets, Harrington mod numbers, faded tee shirts, excellent jeans at reasonable prices and a range of Fred Perry polo shirts. If Badger down the road seems too expensive for a similar item — which let’s face it it is — then this might be an alternative.

Not a bad little place this, stocking(mostly mens) vintage clothing with a focus on denim, leather and unique Tees. It has a bit of a ruff and ready feel to it, and I can imagine skinny jeans wearers being called(though perhaps not out loud) «pansies» by some Immediate Clothing shoppers. I wasn’t too surprised that it doesn’t attract the volume of people that somewhere like Dirty Harry’s or To Be Worn Again tend to, as the stock isn’t quite up to standard. As Joseph points out, its quintessentially Brighton, fitting in perfectly with laines vibe, and is definitely worth popping in, even if you don’t come out having bought anything.

You can usually hear the music coming from Immediate Clothing as you’re walking down Sydney Street and you’ll know your there when you get to the rails of great second hand jackets and shirts outside. Owner Ian is always good for a bit of Saturday banter and knows his stock extremely well so if you’re looking for something in particular its worth asking. The ska and reggae t-shirts he has made up are fantastic and always get comments when wearing abroad. If you’re going to a fancy dress party, this is worth popping into as the sunglasses are inexpensive and really look the part. Perfect place to buy something you won’t see anyone else wearing!

With Jump the Gun providing clothes for the Mods, I’d say Immediate safely covers the bases for the Skins and Rockers out there, with its inspired range of second-hand goodies. Although some of the clothes look a little dress-up rather than everyday get-up, there are certainly some choice bargains to be had here. It is another North Laines business that has a very«Brighton» feel about. You walk in and cannot help but nod your head to the Ska tunes that bang out of the sound system. There is so much to look at though: what are the best bits? I’d definitely recommend the leathers — something that is always better worn in a little and their sunglasses are pretty cool and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a look: especially on a sunny Saturday when the Laines are at their best.

A great store that is a mixture of second hand jackets, suits, hawaiian shirts and new t-shirts, hats, sunglasses and other things. The fashion sense of the store is based around punk, mod and two tone, and is the large man behind the counter is always blasting out some garage rock or ska. There are some great finds in there, as well as the odd piece of something rather unusual. The Ska Wars t-shirts have become a nationally recognised symbol by the punk and ska scene.
