horrendous ribs. if Ribs is their specialty, then they take their customers for fools because it’s over priced and subpar food. I was served really dry, tasteless ribs. probably overheated or from overfreezing. My friend ordered a steak that was served in 2 bits. not to mention the BBQ sauce and even Ketchup were nasty. you’d think they’d invest in some good BBQ sauce at a place like this. A chef with integrity would not serve any of that and charge 22 quid. After this experience, on a pleasant day by the beach, the last thing i want to dig into are the ribs. Would not recommend if you want your dining experience ruined and felt like you were robbed.

Not been here in a while– have previously enjoyed group meals out(especally trying to go through the complete cocktail list!), though smaller bookings seem to get ‘lost/forgotten’, amidst the mêlée. Far better places around town(eg– Old Bank, Kemp Town-, but then I am biased– see other entry for that.)

My mum used to take me and my sister here as a treat when we were kids so it must have been around for yonks now. I think its a great place if there’s a big group of you and you want somewhere that you know your going to get filled up and its a bit of a laugh along the way. The full rack of ribs and chips is the best thing on the menu but the steaks are also pretty impressive. The staff all seem to put themselves out to make sure your food gets there reasonably quick and considering its location, the prices aren’t bed either. Get a pitcher of their margarhitas to start the night off!

This Texmex restaurant is fufilling a niche in Brighton, but the concept itself reaks of the 90s to me. Preston Street unofruatly offer a lot of other authentic foriegn cusine restaurant which nabs a lot of clintele. The food is not great and pricey, they are much better meals to be have in the city or even next door.

I’d avoided this place like the plague until recently. I assumed it would be super-tacky and poor quality, but was pleasantly surprised. OK, they don’t exactly surprise you with a gourmet menu, but they’re not really intending to. They serve a good range of tasty and affordable ribs and various Mexican style dishes. Staff are friendly, and the place feels authentically American. Worth putting aside some preconceptions for.

I would describe this place as being slightly tacky but altogether not bad. Value for money is good as the portion sizes are traditionally American and the atmosphere is light-hearted but somewhat forced. For example, it seems as though the staff have been given various lines, which they say to get you in that Tex-Mex mood. I found the service to be acceptable despite our waitress’s inability to remember orders. The food could be so much better, as the dishes seem to have been put together without much thought towards originality. It’s basically Tex-Mex 101.

I went here for valentines day once and had a great time. The staff seemed very happy and were so helpful and welcoming. They had gifts for the girls and special drinks etc for the occasion. The meal was good value for money and the ribs were tasty! They had someone playing songs live and the music was at the right level were you could enjoy it whilst still having a good conversation. I haven’t been back since but have heard good things from people who have. The range of mexican foods were adequate and a choice of spice levels helped me to get exactly what I was after. It isn’t the best place I’ve been but with what they have they used their assets well. It is an experience so if you want something different then try them out.

The excellently named Dig in the Ribs is a the only Tex-mex restaurant in Brighton, that I’ve come across. The menu consists of seasoned ribs, burgers, enchiladas etc etc… The service was slow and the food a little bit overpriced for the quality. Its often quite quiet probably because of its location in the midst of all the modern euro restaurants in looks a bit tacky. If you like tex-mex, are after a feast or just want a dirty burger then Dig in the Ribs in the place.

Been going to this place for years and can only say its absolutley sad how its gone down hill since the new management take over. My boys birthday was let down by poor food quality and no atmosphere. Staff was rude and cold like the food. Will never go back and hope you have been warned. Someone really needs to check the kitchen out from local authoritys.

Roundly considered by myself and others I know to be one of the worst places in Brighton to eat. This isn’t just based on one bad experience, but I’ve ended up here for various reasons many times, and if nothing else, they’re consistent. Dreadful food, poor service and overpriced. With the choice if places in Brighton to eat, there’s really no excuse to find yourself eating here.
