AMAZING! Great quality food for very reasonable prices. Definitely benefits from being off the main road as it’s slightly less busy, and I believe the quality and prices benefit too. The menu is extensive, both the chinese and the chip shop sections, and the staff are friendly and polite. There’s fast, free delivery and freebies for spending £11 and £20. Would highly recommend it.

Maybe it’s unfounded, but I am always wary of Chinese takeaway’s that also offer English fish and chips. It probably isn’t wholly unfounded though, having eaten here, I can’t help but fear that an excessive English influence has lessened the Chinese aspect of the food. I’ve eaten here once and probably wouldn’t rush back to do so again; I had a chow mein that was just a bit greasy and sweet. I will acknowledge that everybody has different takeaway preferences, for me though, this was all a bit disappointing. Here you will find the same food places like Buffet Island charge half as much for.

Once again the opportunist is revealed by the hybrid of the local fish and chip shop and the more traditional of Chinese takeaways. But not hiding behind a tenuously linked fish pun(I still like The Codfather) China Town proudly emblazoned its shop front relating to their food. They do serve some cheeky fish and chips though, which are quite expensive and not particularly good. An impressive alternative isn’t too far away though and with a slight turn of the head you have in shot the more extensive and alluring Chinese option.

This Take away doesn’t look like China Town and the workers English is so good it doesn’t sound like China Town, until they shout the order in Chinese. But, it does taste like China Town which is the most important thing.
I actually like the fact the workers can speak almost perfect English as it shows an effort to be able to understand the customers properly. The fact that they do fish & chips makes this place look a little like a chippy but the food they serve has always for me been good. I think last time I went I had the chicken with cashew nuts which went well with my mandatory chinese curry and special fried rice. The chips here are good as I had them once whilst passing but I cannot vouch for the rest of the chip shop menu. It isn’t as cheap as many places around and I cannot taste too much difference between them so maybe it is the quality of products they use or that they are a bit out of the way and do not get so many customers.

Good little fish and chips takeaway that also does Chinese food, a combination that actually works well if your partner wants something different to you. The fish is nicely cooked in crispy batter, and the chips are better than average for a chippie. The Chinese menu is extensive with all the usual suspects and keenly priced: main dishes range from £2.80 to £4.60. The staff are very friendly. They deliver within 3 miles for orders over £13.
