Love it! Used to be a grotty old mans pub, now a cosy, friendly place with lovely décor and friendly staff. Real fire in the winter, real beer all year round.

This was a pretty cool pub. Met the owner, young guy, pretty nice. Lots of older people in there when I went, couple younger people too. It was open until 2am, while the last pub was 1am, so, well, it was just the next place to go.

Not a bad little pub but everytime I’ve been in there it seems to be a bit lifeless. Thats fine by me though as I can’t stand over crowded places. There’s a couple of little tables out the front which is nice to sit in the sun. There’s a couple of bitters on tap but a larger selction of lagers so could do with a few more real ales. The wine is really chep though so if you’re heading for dinner afterwards, maybe stick to the vino. Great place to wait for your friends to turn up before heading to one of Preston Street’s many restaurants.

This cosy little pub is home to many eccentric characters, most of which are fairly young. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere and charming décor make it a warm and welcoming place to get a drink at any time of day. The lack of space doesn’t hinder the atmosphere. As with most pubs this actually makes it a little better although you have to be comfortable in such an intimate environment. The quiz every Thursday is quite popular as it’s £1 per entry and the questions range from the tough to the mega easy, which helps even the least knowledgeable of people to feel clever. Also, a bottle of the house wine will only cost you £7.50, which is good value considering it’s actually quite nice.
