Absolutely love it! Even though inside it’s quite small, it is lovely and sweet! Had one of the best cakes of my life!

I love cupcakes and even more so, I love cute cupcakes! Catwalk always has a really great selection of cute cupcakes and also, has larger cakes like their Red Velvet cake, which is so yummy! I usually pop in once every week or two to get a little something for myself, partner or one of my colleagues. I especially like their Cookie Monster and Caramel Brittle cake. Worth a go if you like sweet food that’s also adorable.

We passed by the shop while browsing through the lanes, and when we passed back, my friend couldn’t hold herself back: «11 pounds for afternoon tea!». Their décor is lovely and very girly. Their cakes seem absolutely delicious(a group next to us left theirs untouched, we were shocked, they are 3,75 quid per slice!). The tea is fairly straight-forward, a scone each with a choice of plain or berry, along with the usual clotted cream, jam, and milk. I was afraid a single scone would be a bit little and I was wrong, it’s all quite filling especially thanks to the very rich clotted cream. The staff is lovely and let us hang around while they were closing up shop, and the owner chatted for a little while. As someone mentioned they only have about 4 tables so tea might not always be in the cards, but at least give a slice of cake(to-go) a try!

I’ve been dying to go to Catwalk Cakes since my friends wedding about a month ago. The wedding cake was from Catwalk and it was the best cake I’ve tasted in a long time! I walked by today and thought I would treat myself! The Cupcakes are fantastic! I opted for a salted caramel one and bought a Rolo one for my boyfriend. The lady behind the counter was bubbly and chatty, I could have stopped and talked cupcakes all afternoon! They were very delicious indeed. I’ll definitely be going back!

We stopped at this cute little cake shop on our way to catch the train back to London. We got two slices, one banafee and one First off they put both slices in the same box, I’m totally fine with this, and actually prefer it, why waste more paper, but the two slices were separated with a paper napkin… which is in no way ideal when separating moist cake. The napkin was soaked and was terribly hard to separate from the cakes. The banoffee was okay, basically banana bread with frosting, and sadly not all that good of banana bread to start with. The other slice we got was Lemon and it was very good. Giving this place 4 stars as the lemon cake was so good, will have to try it again.

Saturday stroll with the family down the lanes. Just had dinner and wanted something sweet. Then it was like all the angels came down from heaven all at once. There it was, a vision of heavenly cakes, cup cakes that is. Had to have. The set up they have is nice. A small little shop with a few table and chairs. The staff are friendly and helpful. We all ordered our cup cakes with our mouths hanging open, dribbling. They came in a transparent case, so you can see if they are getting squashed or not. They also had a lot of different teas and the good old English cup of rosey lee. It’s like a little tea room. The atmosphere was quiet with a humm of voices. It looked pretty. Kids will love this place. It must be like heaven for them. My daughter thought they looked that good she took photos. They also sold big slices of cake. Best way to describe this shop, is heavenly.

The first thing you’ll notice about this bakery as you walk by is that they do some pretty wild celebration cakes! Their window displays are always changing it up, but the fondant work is always epic and unexpected. Their other specialty, as you might guess from the name, is the wide variety of cupcakes including vegan and gluten free options. Now, I joined the macaron team in the trendy dessert war, so I’m not a cupcake snob and don’t have a wide range of comparison, but I certainly did enjoy the one I had! They also offer an afternoon tea set, but do be warned there’s not much seating inside even though the décor is quite charming!
