After my devastating review of the other Boots in Kemptown where I was treated rudely and with utter disrespect, I can only give this one a thumbs up. I am usually not a fan of big chains such as Boots, but the staff are incredibly friendly so now I pick up all my prescriptions from there. They have everything for my essential needs but I have also witnessed them recommend other pharmacies(i.e. the competition) to customers whenever they weren’t able to help out with whatever was asked for. I’d like to point out that the rating is for the staff and shop, not for the Boots corporation itself. If it wasn’t for the friendly and helpful staff, I would probably prefer a local family-run business(specifically the ones in Kemptown which I have also had positive experiences with).

This Boots carries all of your basic hygiene necessities and does not focus on selling the more fancy products. If you’re looking to refill on toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, or any other sort of product that cleans you(or some object in your flat) in some way, then you’ll be able to find it here. The prices are what you would usually expect, and the staff if super friendly, helping you out if you’re unable to find anything. Their pharmacy section is quite good, and they do sometimes have sales, as I was able to stock up on a few boxes of antihistamine for a super cheap price.

This little Boots is a handy store to have in Kemp Town(although a little pointless as there’s a huge Superdrug a few doors up), and the staff are always friendly and helpful. As Sarah-Jane B. notes though, you’re not gonna find any luxury items, gift ideas, photo printing, meal deals, toys, cards or a great range of make up — take a five minute walk up North Street for that. This place more fills the role of a local pharmacy, with most basic toiletries and medicines, and a limitted selection of beauty products. I do go here instead of Superdrugs sometimes as they sell own brand hair serum for £1.99(which is also often sold out in the bigger Boots), which is, when most serums are a whopping 6 quid, a bit of a bargain!

Smack in the middle of Kemp Town’s main street, this branch of Boots is a small one that stocks a varied selection of essential toiletries by Boots and other brands. If you want toothpaste, deodrant, shampoo or condoms, you’re onto a winner. If you want Lemon Verbena bubble bath or Clarins moisturiser, you’ll have to go to Boots flagship store opposite the clock tower. The pharmacist in this branch is friendly and usually has most prescriptions in stock. The thing that’s slightly annoying is the constant presence of security guards that watch everyone entering, leaving and browsing around the store. I appreciate they must get a lot of shoplifters and have a job to do — but no girls want to be watched whilst they’re buying Lil-lets!
