An Aladdin’s cave of jingly jangly sparkly things Accessorise has at least one thing that will go with something. So that Accessorise can be completely sure that you will find one thing that goes with something, they have laid out their stock into different colour zones and make sure that every piece of jingle jangle has the complete tonal range of that colour so that you nor Accessorise can go wrong. Whilst this must be a great place to grab very nice pieces to sparkle things up, obviously this is mass market stuff which for Jewellery doesn’t fare all that well — although you will find many nice surprises here, you will find much that when taken out of Alladins Cave and worn once or twice, doesn’t seem all that sparkly anymore. But just chuck it and get a new one right?!

Accessorize smelled like a high school gymnasium, and trying to reach the back of the shop was a bit of an obstacle course. Although the mass of bodies wearing winter coats in the tiny store was hardly ideal, I did venture in too look around. I’ve been in this shop before, and the prices were quite high — I suppose that was the draw of the big Half Off signs.
Some items were only £10 off the original steep prices — a small change purse was down from £35 to £25, for example. However, all jewellery was marked down 50%, and some of the other items — scarves (silk and cozy wool), hats, gloves and the uglier bags had larger discounts.
The queue for the cashier was about the length of the shop, so I only recommend checking it out if you really, really want some accessories. Really.

Why are Accessorize store always so small? This Churchill Square branch is no exception, and I’d avoid it if you can, especially in the Christmas run up, where you can’t lean your head back 10 degrees to admire a sparkling diamanté without headbutting someone else!
Accessorize does what it says on the tin. If you went there once, five years ago, don’t bother reading on — you will have learnt all you need to know! With very minor changes through changing trends, Accessorize consistently supplies pretty, sparkly jewellery, bags, gloves, shoes, undies, hats etc. You wont find the most unique thing in the world, and you should always check for missing jewels, but it’s a onestop shop if you’re stuck for a fairly reasonably priced (probably female) gift idea.
