The Teapot Cafe

Easy to miss as this café is right at the back inside the indoor market. It’s larger than first appears as there’s a second room on the right with extra tables and chairs. Although in the market space, it’s right next to a large and bright window so you can sit and look over the street.
Great for a cup of tea and a snack or light meal. There are lots of nice coffees available (espresso, latte, macciato, etc) and teas (including Earl Grey). Chilled soft drinks too including bottled milk shakes and juices.
There is quite a range of ‘basic’ but wholesome food available, from eggs on toast (£2.50), bangers and mash (£4.50) to a veggie breakfast (£3). Fresh rolls and sandwiches too. There are desserts and cakes as well but the ice cream is plain vanilla — although there are different sauces to liven it up!
