Just had a chilli jacket spud from there. Superb! The bonus was that when I got it home, he’d even put nachos in there too. Great place — fully recommend it!

So Chilli Jam, what have you got to put in my face hmm HMMMM… Chilli Jam is an Independant Coffee shop /Sandwich Bar to quote the owner, I must confess I do not fully know why it shouldn’t be called a Café but it’s his place so he can call it what he likes, and frankly the foods what I want so the definition is irrelevant. Kev has taken the ever expanding popularity of coffee shops and combined it with his ‘skill’(and I truly do think it is a skill) at making Breakfast whether they be on a plate or in a bap. Having recently opened he doesnt have a hard and fast menu, he’s very much keen to see and hear what people want him to serve, so he’s started with his breakfast menu which lasts just past lunchtime, as it’s what he knows, he also does Sandwiches and Salads, but is looking at what else he can add to get the masses flowing in. The coffee brand he buys in I cannot pronounce nor spell, but it’s a good cuppa and he also has a variety of teas in different flavours which if you really like can by packs to take home. For Bramhall Chilli Jams prices are great, food noticably lower than the compeititon, Coffee on par if not lower. Knowing what the commercial unit used to be before Kev got his hands on it, it seems quite surreal walking into somewhere that in the past was packed to barely movable proportions with shelves of odds n sods, you used to pick up a broom, or lighbulbs or screws, to now be presented by a mish mash of furniture for all your socialising needs. Chilli Jams location works well for it as well, While Bramhall is not huge, there are noticable gaps in what shops are where, the central village shops cater for most needs, but on the far side of Bramhall it all becomes alot sparser, this place now fills that gap, if you’re not up for the walk into the centre of the village then just mooch on down to Chilli Jam
