Situated on castle lane west, the Toby Carvery is a place for all roast lovers. There is a selection of gammon, turkey, pork and beef. Then you have a wide selection of unlimited vegetables. This place is a must go but I would advise everybody to not go on the Sunday as the price is nearly twice as much on other days for the same price.

This is one of the better Toby Carverys I’ve been to, much better than the one at the New Road roundabout. My family go there a lot for birthdays /anniversaries etc as it it pretty cheap if you go before 7pm on a weekday with a free ice cream voucher, so good when you have a large party. Also, the food is good with a great choice of veg, but the food can sometimes be a bit hit and miss — depends on who is cooking it I guess, but is normally delicious! Would recommend this Toby, and have even introduced my friends to it and they loved it too. N.B. The soft drinks prices have increased quite a lot as it is now unlimited refills.

This place is great to meet with a group of friends or family due to it’s easy to find location and lots of free parking. This place can get quite busy on a Sunday but it deserves to be as the food is very good. The service is good and the queue for the carvery is not usually more than a couple of minutes. An easy place to take a group as food is served quickly.

We visit this restaurant attached to the Inn Keepers Lodge in Bournemouth for sunday lunch before visiting Castlepoint shopping area quite often. We visited a few weeks ago for their sunday carvery. We arrived around 11.45am to make sure we could get a table as this place gets very busy and were seated in a booth immediately. We queued for about 10 minutes for the carvery and when we arrived at the front my mum checked she could eat everything as she is coeliac and therefore wheat intolerant. The chef checked and said she could have everything except the gravy which was disappointing. The carvery was tasty as usual but mum was a little upset as her dinner was obviously dry. On the way out from the restaurant she spoke to the floor manager about this as she had been able to have the gravy previously and he apologised profusely but said the receipe had been changed by their head office a while ago but did say the next time she wanted to come if she wanted to bring some of her own gravy they would be more than happy to make this up for her. We would definately return based on this as have rarely found staff so accomodating.

The Toby Carvery is great. I tend to go for their Sunday roast lunches or suppers and if you don’t fancy cooking this is a super place to go. It’s always busy at these times, but if you factor in a possible wait of up to 30 minutes and are happy to have a drink in the bar then no problem. The food is always excellent and great value and the staff friendly depsite always being so busy. Well worth a visit.

I would highly recommend this restaurant for a filling ‘help yourself’ carvery meal. The staff and friendly, so far we have never had to book a table or wait(although we have never really been after 7). Although it can get busy sometimes with lots of customers, queing for the food doesnt take long and you can help yourself to as much as you want. The meat is always well cooked but not overcooked and they also always have a nice vegetarian option. so far we have not had anything that has been e. g cold veg etc and we have never been left without choice. Go before 7 at the moment and get your carverys for £5 each(if you just ask for water then you can save loads of money on drinks) and trust me i bet you will be too full for pudding! We have been to a few toby caveries before and this is the best one 5⁄5. Great for familys — it can get quite noisy when busy so dont expect a quiet fancy meal

Toby Carvery is well placed on the roundabout near bournemouth hospital. I find it gets very busy at peak times but you can see why when you visit once. You dont need to book a table and if there are none available then you can get a drink at the bar. Once seated you can help yourself to the food served by the chefs at the front. The chefs carve the meat for you and you take whichever vegetables you want. The queues are often long for the food but it’s quite fast flowing. I would advise you don;t have a starter as the main meal will fill you up and it;s such good value for a huge roast dinner you wont need anything else.
