On the Thames. Consistent quality and service with a lunchtime menu of value overlooking the Thames. I would love to try in the evening very soon.

Superb location. Fantastic value Sunday lunches. Well worth a visit — although it is a bit let down by the waiting staff who aren’t the slickest — but they are friendly. The room can be quite noisy when full — it’s set up and decorated in a really lovely way but sound does bounce around and it can be hard to hear your dining partners when it’s busy. Other area for improvement — breakfast. Was so excited when they started to serve it — but it’s actually quite poor. Last time we went, we treated some friends and were very embarrassed when they were served gravadlax with their scrambled eggs. Apparently they had run out of normal smoked salmon — but the replacement combination just didn’t work. But would recommend for the good value, innovative food.

This is a fantastic location with good food at sensible prices so it is very good value for what you get, although they do put it on the drinks a bit.
I have eaten here quite a few times and the only adverse comment I would make is that generally, service has only ever been what I would describe as okay.
From what I have observed they often have pleasant, willing but
in-​experienced (or that is the way they come across) young people serving who with a bit of guidance/​training in customer relations would really shine. (And probably make bigger tips in the process)
Anyway, overall this is a good restaurant but just needs to invest a little more in staff training.

This restaurant is set in a fantastic location, sitting on the terrace on a sunny evening looking over the river is a brilliant way to relax. I’d heard loads about it and seen it as I’d walked my puppies from the other side of the river, but I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed by the food. It was all a bit «blah». I only went a week and a half and I can’t really remember what I had except something was chickenish and not quite hot enough.
Oh yeah — the toilets are unisex — tres cosmopolitan but a little surprising!!! ;o)

I love this restaurant, it’s right on the river with amazing views up to Cookham. The food is kinda bistro style, I had yummy mango mash with braised belly of pork and my partner had pan fried fillet of seabass on truffled lentils. Totally wicked puds including chocolate brownie with frozen chocolate mousse and white chocolate sauceawesome. Good prices too. You can have a three course set dinner for £16.95 and at certain times of the year it is half price for the second person!
