This stylish café is situated in a narrow pedestrian lane a short walk form the town centre. There’s a counter and small seating area downstairs and a lovely comfy room I’d describe as a coffee lounge upstairs. The walls are decorated with paintings, drawings and photos, all reasonably priced and by local artists. The staff were friendly and helpful. We picked our snacks from an extensive menu. My partner chose a large slice of carrot cake which she described as the best she’d ever eaten! I ordered a chicken tikka sandwich and was offered a choice of white or brown bread. It took a while to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. It was full of chicken and the tikka sauce was very tasty. It was just brilliant. The food was accompanied by freshly made ground coffee. The bill was about a very reasonable £7.00 in all.(This does not include 3 pictures I bought!). We found this café quite by chance and now wouldn’t even consider anywhere else. Very, very highly recommended!
