Oh dear. The only pub where I’ve had someone want to fight my dog. Looks awful too, only reason for going in was a hankering for a beer. The seafront would do well to convert the place into a petrol station or another block of flats!

I know they’re a chain of pubs but I’ve always thought the Young’s brewery pubs have been of a really high standard. The beers good too! This one could do with a lick of paint outside but I guess thats got something to do with its position right on the seafront.
The staff are really good in here and you really don’t have to wait long at all for food even on a busy day. Their pies and their fish and chips are the best on the menu. Really filling and really good value for money.
There’s free wi-​fi in here too so its a great place to surf the net and sip a few nice cold lagers!

love this pub on seafront for great food. always go in the restaurant side of the pub-​nice log fire in winter-​very cosy and warm. staff very helpul and great service. went xmas eve and had lovley meal. scampi-​lasagna-​fresh fish-​burgers-​chicken-​roast on sunday-​sometimes special on weekday too. reasonably priced-​not an everyday meal out. nice to sit outside in summer-​overlooking seafront. covered over so must protect from wind etc. smokers area too if required. have visited many times and always excellent.

This is a lovely local pub right on the seafront with both covered and uncovered outside seating and an extensive menu.
It’s a Youngs pub, so serves real ales as well as the usual drinks fare. The standard menu is fair, but where this place comes into its own is with its ever-​changing specials board. There are always good fish dishes available, and some great desserts. The choice for vegetarians is not huge to be fair, but the vege lasagne is one of the best I’ve tasted at a pub.
This is a great place for lunch, on a summer’s day or any time of year, and the outside seating right by the beach is a real bonus. Highly recommended.
