I have lots of memories coming here as a child when my dad studied Geology at the University of Birmingham. I have visited it a few times more recently when I have been on campus and having a break from studying in the library. It is a really interesting place if you are into fossils, rocks and dinosaur stuff! They have a lot of these items on display with accompanying descriptions and explanations. I think their collection is really impressive and it is one of the oldest museums of its kind in the UK. They have some of the geology students’ work on display too, such as journals describing the landscapes of certain places, where they have been mapping on field trips. There is a lot to learn here about the world, evolution and such. I think it is definitely worth a look around if you have some spare time and are in the area.
