a starbucks is a starbucks and usually there isn’t much more to say after that. this branch is conveniently located in the business district in birmingham and for me was the perfect stop on my way to my course for the two days i was in the city. the branch opens early to service those who have an early commute and i found that at 9:30am it was still fairly busy but i was served quickly and just quickly on my way out the door again. it looks like there are a good number of tables if you are sitting in and all the usual pastry, cake, and sandwich selections are available. all in all a good branch of starbucks that suited my needs quite well.

While I’m a huge fan of coffee, I tend to go to local coffee shops rather than chains. However, my friend had recommended to me the Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks so I thought I’d check it out. I’m not a fan of Pumpkin but the drink was amazing! I loved it! This particular Starbucks is right on Colmore Row so perfect for a quick drink to or from work. The service has always been good(I like the Frappacinos too) and when I’ve made random or weird requests, they have always been met. While the service was slower today thank normal, it does run smoothly. There’s a small seating area with sofa’s at the rear and a few tables towards the front. It does seem to get busy during lunch for seating but most people tend to come in just for a takeaway drink. They were offering a tall drink for £2.00 in the afternoon if you came in the morning, but since i haven’t been in the morning for a while, i’m unsure if this offer is still available.

Why go mainstream when you can go indie. Great indie coffee shop round the corner about 3 minutes not even that called Urban Coffee. If your in a rush i found when i went in there was a long que and i had to be at college for 9 also the price of what you are getting. Do not get me wrong the staff are lovely but another time when i went with friends we couldn’t find anywhere to sit even though i think there was seating down stairs when i have coffee in my hand and bags in the other not ideal mixed with my clumsiness i could see myself wearing the scent of ‘O latte’ all day and lovely stain on my top. If your heading threw park opposite and that way into Birmingham there is another great coffee shop called 6⁄8 kafe. I would highly recommend these other two coffee shops!

Great little Starbucks in the heart of the Colmore Business District. Limited seating here, although there are sofas

This is a handy and small coffee shop within 2 minutes walking distance of Snow Hill train station. If your after your caffeine fix during lunch or breakfast, this place pretty much serves the whole shebang. They also have a nice section of cakes, and yummy biscuits. Although a perfect location on our city, it’s a bit small and cramped, and they don’t have any toilets, which is a shame if you drink like a fish. There are not too many seats, so occasionally you have to take your drink out. They do have a staff room downstairs, I don’t see why they can’t make better use of that, and then attract more paying customers. Great for a coffee or fruit tea, and the window seats are the best.

Don’t go here in search of a table during the afternoon, especially around lunch time. It’s a cosy little Starbucks located on one of the busier business district streets in town, so unless you’re after takeaway, you’re going to be disappointed. It’s a pretty typical Starbucks, although it does stay open slightly later than some of the other similar venues nearby. It typically has two people serving, and they usually tell you to take a seat so they can bring you your drinks. Depending on how busy it is, it can often take a while to finally get what you ordered. As somewhere chilled out to enjoy an after work coffee and a natter, this is just what the doctor ordered. Then again, it’s a Starbucks, so if you’re looking for value for money or substantial/healthy food, forget it.

a very busy coffe shop, not the nicest atmosphere, very busy and the staff seem very overworked and can be a bit frosty. But decent coffee and thats the main thing but also very overpriced and sometimes the oorders can get mixed up.

Busy small starbucks unlikely to get a table, if you just want coffee to take away then this is fine as the service is quick, it just fills up as it’s so small!
