Medipharma Chemist

I came in here a while ago just to pick up some toiletries on my way home. There is no feeling worst for a girl than running out of shampoo. Ok, so maybe there are more drastic things that can happen in a girl’s life, but bad hair can be prevented! This pharmacy stocks all of the things that you would expect; various medicines, toiletries and beauty bits and bobs. They obviously also cater for prescriptions. When I went in I was greeted by the staff, who seemed very friendly and were welcoming. They asked me if I needed any assistance with anything, or any advice. As I was only getting some shampoo I did not really need any help, but it was polite and professional for them to ask. The prices were reasonable too. Overall, I found this to be a good little pharmacy.

It’s getting increasingly rare to see non chain, independent chemists in the UK these days, thanks to the domination of chains such as Lloyds and Boots. The Medipharma on Oak Tree Lane is a pleasant little locally owned business. It performs all of the services that the larger chain stores do, offering both off the shelf medicine and prescriptions, as well as small selection of more general products, such as household cleaning products, tooth brushes, and soap. The range of medicines available is surprisingly good for a small shop, and the staff are always very friendly, greeting you when you come in and wishing you well when you leave. Best of all (from a personal point of view) is that it really looks and feels (and even smells) like a traditional, local chemist, which you never find in the clinical, sterile chain equivalents. Highly recommended.
