Breakfast Review: They don’t offer a Full English, which is what I judge breakfasts by, so I asked them for what they thought was the closest. They suggested the breakfast bloomer. It sounded quite nice. Bloomer, eggs, vine roasted tomato and bacon. Lovely. I can’t tell you how disappointed I was when it arrived. It was a single piece of bread with what I can only describe as a slice of bloomer with egg mayonnaise on it 4 cherry tomatoes(with the stalks on) and 2 pieces of streaky bacon. It was reasonably tasty, but it was a single slice of toast that cost me £3.95. If you are going to offer something like a breakfast, I suggest you do it properly! This was not good.

The upstairs café at Marks and Spencer is where I go when I want a pit stop fom the hustle and bustle of the city centre. It’s usually fairly quiet apart from on Saturdays so you can always get a seat. There is a lot of seating including some really big tables that would seat about 6– 8 people. I tend to opt for a pot of tea(you get at least 2 cups) and a little biscuit is given as a freevie. For me a great plus is that M&S offer soyal milk with no extra charget. I usually have a toasted teacake or scone and with the tea. The bill usually comes to just over £3 which is such good value in these days of austerity. There are sandwiches hot and cold on offer and a wide selection of cakes. They now have free wi fi too.

I’ve always been a big fan of Marks food and as the saying goes, ‘You get what you pay for’, which is very true with Marks! I often visit this branch for either lunch or a weekend treat. As people who have read my reveiews know, good customer service is VERY importatnt to me and Marks have got it perfect. The staff are very helpful and polite and for me who has no patience, they serve you very quickly.

Obviously there is no need for an introduction to Marks & Spencer. One thing worth mentioning is the food bit downstairs which is much larger than most M&S simply food stores. If you have a little bit of spare cash then thats a great place to go — the food beats anything from Sainsburies or Tesco. The café is located on the top floor towards the food quarter. Its a nice place to stop and meet up with people and they offer some basic café food all of which tastes great.

Marks and Spencers is a British institution. For those not in the know, they sell high quality, well made clothes and shoes, bedding, homeware, and the best part of their storesthe food. I’d say most people are well aware of Marks and Spencers, many will have been dragged in by their mums and dads at some point in their past. The reason I point this store out is to mention the café that is tucked away at the top of the Pavillions, near to the food court. On a saturday, when you’re feeling pretty ravenous, head to Marks for a cup of tea or coffee. If you’re peckish you can get cakes, scones, buns, jacket potato’s, pannini’s, sandwhiches and cold snacks. The only downside is the service, everyone has to wait to go through one til at the end of the queue, so this can be a little slow, but the food is really good.
