Been going at least once a month for the last two years and have never been disappointed. Staff. Food. Service and speed have always been good. Chicken tikka meat. Doner. Burgers sausages I’ve tried them all and honestly recommend it to others when they are in town. This to me is proper fish and chips.

Being rushed for time I visited John’s Plaice instead of my usual. Food was of poor quality.

This is quite a good fish and chip bar and although I have only been in once, I was impressed and I will go in again when I am in the area. When I did pop in it was really busy, which I think is a good thing as it shows that it must be a popular and decent place. When I got round to ordering I just ordered a big portion of chips as I did not fancy any fish or anything else. Sometimes chips alone are all I need! My chips did not take too long and the guy who served me was very friendly. It was quite cheap and I soon left looking forward to eating my chips! The chips were lovely, not soggy and not too salty. They were great and I would definitely recommend this place.

Decent fish and chip shop on the corner of Weymoor Road which stocks chips(naturally), fish, pukka pies as well as those scary looking saveloy sausage things. They do a number of smaller meals and a mini fish and chips or chicken and chips will cost you less than a couple of pounds. It seems to be staffed by the people who own the Convenience Store next door but this is no bad thing as service in both is good. Chips are a bit heavy but generous and the fish I had was lovely with a crunchy batter(just how I like it). The curry sauce was less of a success but given the crowds of people who head there(especially at lunch times) I guess they must be doing something right.
