If you’re looking for budget fabrics, you might want to check out Cut Price Fabrics in Sparkhill. It’s a pretty large shop with masses of fabric rolls in many different colours, prints and materials.
Most of the fabrics are in synthetic or cotton. They have a good range for simpler designs, so if you’re looking to make casual outfits for everyday wear then it’s not a bad option. However, they’re limited on designs for formal or party wear.
The shop could be better maintained. It’s crammed with rolls of fabric just about everywhere. I think the material would look more appealing if it was better displayed.
It’s a family business. You can bargain with them and they’ll usually discount your total by a few pounds. But as they say; every little helps!
