I had a groupon voucher for a 1 hour Swedish full body massage. On arrival there were only 2 parking spaces, however there is a bus stop quite literally right outside it for people who prefer public transport. Inside it is very tastefully decorated, modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was greeted by the owner she was really nice, this is her first salon so she had all the enthusiasm you would expect with a new project. The treatment room, was a good size, very clean. Despite having a scented candle burning, there was quite a strong smell of disinfectant. That didn’t bother me because I think its quite a clean smell, but it might bother others. The room was a bit chilly, but the therapist put a second heater on for me. There were also plenty of hooks on the back of the door to hang your things. First the masseuse washed my feet, which was a nice little extra. She also told me that she was also a physiotherapist which helped to reassure me that I wouldn’t be waking with a crick in my neck the next morning(which has happened with massages before). The massage itself was really relaxing! I have a massage every 8 weeks, so as far as massages go, it was very good! It also lasted the full hour! Overall I had a fabulous time and left feeling very relaxed, so I would recommend it. The only criticism I would make is that no hot drinks or water was offered on arrival even though I was quite a bit early. The other thing is that hot towels weren’t used during the massage, which I thought was highly unusual as this is the first time I have ever had a massage without being given a hot towel. I think you can get away with it in the summer, but in the winter they are definitely needed! So for those reasons it gets 4 stars not 5.
