A great alternative community featuring a shop that sells clothes (new & seconds), books, music, fair trade products etc There is also a parent toddler group and advice on all the local holistic services/​therapies. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit!

The Green Shop is a really useful community resource. Funds from the Green Shop are reinvested into supporting the local community. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. Second hand goods such as clothes, books and bric a brac are on sale at very fair prices. The shop also upholds the Fair Trade ethos and sells new goods such as chocolate, coffee and toiletries. The other part of the Green Shop is the community facility, which is a resource for community information, a meeting place with play area and so on. An innovative project.

Great idea! Not just a charity shop, its a community shop. Welcoming everybody through its doors it offers a cup of tea and a chat aswell as a play room for the kids whilst you browse at the wonderful fairtrade products and donated items up for sale. Gorgeous chocolates, health foods and sweets are alongside gifts, clothing and books. The shop is also home to information on community projects, classes, childrens entertainment, and ways you can help the community. Go in and have a chat with the staff — they are great!

A community charity shop, well worth a visit for the range and quality of goods on offer, and for the fact that — unlike, say, your local supermarket — it adheres to the Fairtrade ethos throughout, and not just by stocking a few items alongside products with a more dubious provenance. The shop sells a range of donated goods, as well as fair trade and Ecover products, with an additional toy and alternative book library; while also providing access to (and information about) holistic therapies, and a parent and toddler group. Nice soaps, scenty stuff and chocolate bars; the goods are of a very high quality, and the staff are cheerful enough.
