An amazing place for those who need the comfort or time away, and the families also. Very clean and respectable. Spent a bit of time there and my auntie passed away and they were so caring for her and the family. They lit a candle for her which shows respect. Also tasted their food and my auntie said they done one of the best fishcakes she ever had. Also had a funky space bath as she called it. For those loved ones that need to time away or extra care St Francis makes sure they can accommodate.

Supporting a very good cause this is probably my favourite second hand/charity shop in Berkhamstead. I have found some really nice items of ladies clothing and childrens clothing and the pricing isn’t too bad although Berhamstead charity shops do seem more expensive than other local areas. I always think entering this shop that it feels as though you are entering Aladdins cave, you never know what you are going to find.

Nice, clean, well stocked charity shop — I don’t find something every time I go in, but I have bought some really nice things there. Good selection of dishes, not just clothes. Also, you’re supporting the local Hospice which is nice. Always happy to accept donations, it’s easy to drop them off as you can pull the car around the back of the building.

This is a great charity shop which supports the local hospice. They have the usual range of second hand clothing and books and seem to have an especially good range of pictures and prints — I have had some lovely things from here. One point of warning — there are several steps dotted about which are not obvious — be careful!
