This juice ‘bar’ is situated in one of the most depressing places on Earth. The Great Northern Mall. Like many of the shops here, it looks half baked and a little aged, regardless of when it was opened. But, whilst sitting around and waiting for a train, maybe it’s the best place to go, as there aren’t many better places to go. Their selection is quite small, but they all taste amazing. It’s pretty hard to not blend a bunch of fruit together and make something that tastes bad but hey! Nice place, pity about the location.

This place is a must if you have the misfortune of having to hang around the Europa Bus/Train Station for any length of time. The food is good, the staff are lovely and of course there do fantastic smoothies and juices. If you’re in a rush that’s no problem either as they will make them up superfast if you’re on a schedule. I think unfortunately people tend to rush past this place as anytime I’ve been in its been empty which seems a real pity. Pros: Healthy. Cons: Not a massive selection of eats.

A pretty standard little sandwich and juice bar situated in a location I know all too well, The Europa bus station. In my commuting days I spent half my life(well a large chunk of 4 months) hanging around this bladdy bus station waiting for the old faithful Dundalk bus. As a result I have sampled some of the smoothies here which are pretty yummy. I’d recommend the Mango one. I’ve never tried the sandwiches but they look pretty standard. The bowls of soup are always tempting on cold winter days. A grand little juice bar with reasonable prices and nice staff.

Before my massive 2 and a half hour trek home to the bright lights from the many Vegas-style casinos of Enniskillen, I would have to fill myself up on some much needed fuel as the journey, going the way NI traffic does, could take the best part of four months. I had never even blinked at this place because of the wonderful sandwich shops outside. But on my very first occasion here, it was teaming with rain, the only way Belfast knows how and I didn’t fancy running across the road and then running back with a potentially soggy sandwich. So I stumbled into the incredibly healthy and very polite Press Juice Bar for what seemed like a drink and a bagel that was sent from heaven. The lady was so polite and made my drink as she spoke to me, which confirmed that women can in fact multi-task. As I was concentrating on the juice being made, I could not reciprocate the politeness, but I’m sure she understood that I was a man and hungover at that. The juices, as you would expect are fresh as the day is long(what ever that means) and the bagels were toasted perfectly. I really cannot fault this place. It is a shame that the place is not that busy as it does not reflect the quality of the food and juice. Really really good.

Two best things about the Press Juice Bar: it’s BLT bagels and its’ smoothies. Near perfect. What makes it 100% perfect is its location, along the Europa bus station’s ‘mall’. It’s cool to sit with friends and relax while outside people are rushing in and out from and to their trains and buses. It’s kind of like pressing pause on the movie and sitting back to watch it in slow motion. Weird, but cool.

I always used to walk past this place early in the morning on my way to work after I got off the train bleary eyed and tired and not really in the mood for anything other than maybe getting back into bed. But any time I called in here for a tea or a juice on my way to work I was greeted with excellent service and friendly staff who were up at the same time of the day as me but had much sunnier complexions. I know they are paid to provide a service but it is never easy at that time of the morning so I salute them. The food and stuff is ok, nothing special but you can get some porridge which I think is a nice personal touch. The prices are pretty reasonable and pretty much what you will pay elsewhere, if not a little cheaper.
