Truffles is a great wee traditional café on the bustling Belmont road. The café itself is nice and cosy although it can be quite tightly packed and always busy. Good menu with lots to choose from, the frys are lovely, there are about 4 or 5 frys to choose from, from mini frys to belly busters. There are soup, sandwiches, chips and eggs stew and more, desserts are on the menu too. Staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit expensive I think. Now open till 9pm on a Friday and byo on a Friday.

I have to completely agree with the previous review, it would be five stars from me if there was a bit more room inside, maybe I’m being harsh giving it four stars as the food, character, feel and location are all excellent.

Fancy a great fry the morning after a good night out, then look no further. I’m fussy when it comes to my fry, so picking 5 items off the menu is more my style. Or if you’re feeling fancy the French toast and bacon will make your mouth water. This is a down to earth, say what you see, lovely little café. There are newspapers dotted about the tables and a ‘Cheers’ feel to the place, as the waitress’s often know the customers by name. Good honest food at good honest prices.
