Just to clear things up — this is a discount shop that’s fairly new. Got that ok? Ah ha, well it’s not actually that straightforward. There’s always a catch, eh? You see, the shop does a have a few cheaper-than-usual items, granted, but since much of the stock isn’t actually individually priced, I have no idea whether they are truly a bargain or not. Secondly, being called the ‘new’ discount store will always cause a few problems, particularly a few years down the line, when it really should be labelled«The Not-Quite-As-New-As-It-Used-To-Be bargain Store». Quite a catchy name I reckon… Anyway, my sister and I decided to take a peek, as both of us love a good bargain(well, it’s just me really, but that’s beside the point). The owner was setting up shop, so to speak, and informed us that if we needed anything to just give him a shout. The shop is small, and since he was manoeuvring a lot of stock, we didn’t get to look as much as we would’ve liked, but that wasn’t his fault. Due to our restricted movement, and the decent amount of confectionary situated right in front of me, I decided that I may just have to indulge the tooth that is sweet and buy a few things. Bless him, Mr Shop Keeper was ever so patient in my choosing of almost all the gummy sweets in the shop. Teddy bears, cola bottles… the lot. 70 sweets or so. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any discount on these(sniff), but 90p wasn’t too bad I guess. Mr Nice Shopkeeper gets 5 stars, but the shop knocks it down to 4, and the fact I didn’t get a bargain means 3 will have to suffice. Update: 20 sweets later… eugh.
