Can’t say I’ve ever bought anything out of here, can’t really promise I ever will either! It’s an odd wee shop in that it sells a bit of everything, from random figurines to candelabras and jewellery. Given the pricing, you’d probably only be shopping there for a special occasion, but anytime I’ve browsed I’ve found the staff to be nice enough, if a little overbearing.

Ha! So I am a poor student so the chances of me buying anything in here are strictly limited.(Though some of their offers did look relatively decent so perhaps when I eventually win on a blasted scratchcard I might be tempted to buy my girlfriend something that isn’t Tesco Value) But it was raining and as we were in our usual rain clothes of Tshirts and jeans, we stepped in here until the rain ceased. Now I’m not a fussy wee madam or anything, but we were immediately approached and asked if we were interested in buying anything. Literally before the rain drop had fallen from my nose and onto the floor, the Swaroski pitch(that is with a ‘P’) had started. Disappointing. Needless to say I managed to morph into my robotic shopper mode and without thinking I said«sorry we are just browsing». Clearly we were just using it for shelter, but they didn’t need to know it. The products in here are actually very nice, and though the majority of them are outside my price range of 38p, they would still bode well as gifts for that someone special in your lives. If it turns out that someone special is a pet, then you shouldn’t be let out near shiny things. Nice shop but don’t call in unless you are actually going to buy something because it feels a bit pushy.

This is the type of shop that I would usually avoid, firstly most of the Swarovski stuff is pretty expensive and I am a bit of a skint flint and secondly I can not trust myself not to break something in the shop. Having said that I did buy an item from this shop, it was a special occasion and I bought a bow hair band it was around £70 but to be honest the quality was not great. After a few uses the crystals began falling out. When I initially purchased it the girls in the shop were great, they wrapped and bowed it and I took the credit obviously which gained me even more brownie points. The staff let me peruse the items before I asked for the bow and they were not pushy. The shop itself had a relaxed atmosphere and I was careful not to make any sudden movements. Overall I would say that Swarovski is a luxury shop and the items are a good idea for a gift but are very expensive so I would advise saving a few pennies before popping in.

Swarovski is something I usually associate with little tiny crystal ducks or rabbits that sit on the fire place of a retired couples home and should be touched only at pain of death. I’ve no idea why anyone would ever want to buy these as they look cheap even though they are anything but! Inside the store however I learnt that they sell a lot more than crystal swans. Still though, I think the idea of crystal jewellery is just silly and looks tacky as well as brittle. But I’m a dude, maybe I just don’t understand…

Swavrovski strikes me as an unapproachable looking shop but the other day the door was open and ventured in. The crystal jewellery is bold and striking though I was a little non plussed by the large, pointless crystal ornaments. The biggest of these cost £1,000. There was quite a choice of earrings but not many rings. There seems to be high proportion of sales assistants in relation to the small size of the shop. When I went in they were having a training session in the finer points of closing a sale, which has to be done gracefully by the way, in an authorative manner by a somewhat imperious older woman. Even so the assistants asked me if I wanted anything which was a little off putting. Swarovski is to be approached with caution and only if you are looking in a serious manner.
