This is a little gem of a coffee shop! I’ve been for breakfast, lunch, girly catch ups with an enormous slice of cake, chilled over a cup of tea to get out of the rain… just a wonderful spot!

To be perfectly honest I had bypassed Sinnamon on Botanic Avenue countless times, I’m not too sure why, perhaps there wasn’t anything drawing me in. Well today I had a call and I was on Botanic Avenue so I decided to pop in here out of proximity rather than anything else. I’m so glad I did because what I found was a modern, chic café that caters to everyone. The clientele was extremely diverse and the mix of comfortable seating and desk like tables seemed to suit everyones needs. The one thing i was most impress ed with was the purpose build desks at the back — they even had ethernet cables to plug in your laptop. I grabbed a regular Americanno and a sausage roll which came to only £3.60. This was in fact so cheap that I had to buy a bottle of water to make it up to the five pound minimum card payment. The guy serving me was a legend. he was almost apologetic for making me pay on card — something I didn’t really mind. he them brought my purchases over to me as I set up my laptop. This was a really pleasant experience — I only wish I didn’t have to rush off. I’ve got a feeling I will be back. PS They do a £2 coffee to go!

I do like this Sinnamon which is located on Botanic Avenue. It has a much nicer atmosphere than its counterpart in Stranmillis. Nice background music playing, pleasant staff, free wifi, good coffee and delicious cakes. I think I prefer this Sinnamon as it feels cosier, smaller and seems to have more comfortable sofas. Nice coffee shop — must return and try their sandwiches, salads and paninis…

Great coffee, good tea, rubbery bacon, topped with hungover service. What else would you expect in the University quarter? Just down from Botanic — a great place with good looking sandwiches and bagels and nice breakfast, save for bacon that might have been made of rubber. Reasonable, though. And free hungover staff.

Nice coffee and offers free WiFi. There’s also a hot barista working in the one is Stranmillis. It’s open late which is great as an alternative to going to the pubs.

Oh dear! I almost vomit. You have to be very desperate to go there and… I was as there wasn’t a free table in others places. So I went there to have wee lunch. You know something normal you do around 12.00 or 13.00…In my case it can be 14.00 or 15.00. Anyway! Once I popped there with my girlfriend we just ordered a very simple bacon and brie sandwich. I’ve never been disappointed everywhere I went. After telling you that you might guess what happened. The sandwiches were so disguting as the supposed cranberry was in fact strawberry jam. The sandwiches didn’t have a taste plus it was done so bad that the jam was melting all over the bread. We were only satisfied with the coffee. My advice? clearly DON’T GO!

I have a large coffee shop in Lafayette, Indiana right next to Purdue University. I came to Ireland and Northern Ireland to explore the coffee shops to see if I could learn anything new, to see what others in my business were doing and to enjoy myself. I found the staff at Sinnamon to the VERYBEST I had see one my tour… so good in fact that I came back several times. The latte is a thing of beauty, wonderful creamy foam and very flavorful espresso. Cheese cake are some of the best I’ve had. The shop was always clean with a steady flow of customers coming through the door. I enjoyed sitting outside and watching Belfast walk by. When in Belfast I’ll recommend Sinnamon to all my friends… yo should do the same!

There has been a coffee shop here for quite a while. This one took over O’Briens, which I was never really a fan of. I called in here after meeting an old friend along Botanic. It’s quite compact but the coffee is fantastic and the atmosphere, very relaxed. What more do you want from a coffee shop? I used to live in Stranmillis and the Sinnamon there was always a regular haunt for me. It’s good that it’s branching out.

Me and coffee shops have a love/hate thing on the go. I do loves me some good coffee but sometimes I balk at the price and the way it is served up. Most of the bigger chains are very hit and miss so I was very intrigued when I spotted Sinnamon, a recent arrival on Botanic Avenue. First impressions were good, stone walls, moody lighting, friendly greeting from staff. Being a creature of habit I went for my traditional cappuccino and a rather chunky looking ‘fifteen’. As the café’s name suggests there was all sorts of decadent treats on display but for the time being I was playing it safe. I had time to kill so browsed the papers and savoured the food and drink. Both were excellent though I felt the coffee could’ve been slightly hotter and where I was sitting there was bit of a draught from the open door. The two may be related though. Next time I’ll wear something warmer and be sure to try the waffles! Pros: Nice environment, friendly staff. Cons: Could bump up that heating a bit.

Pastry pastry pastry! I love this wee place and they do a mean apple and blueberry danish! Oh my poor hips! Its another one of those fashionable little coffee shops with sofas and lots of tables and nice art on the walls! They offer wifi(at a cost) and it generally has a nice ambiance– very relaxed. But I come here purely to indulge on a big danish pastry and lots of tea! yum. Great spot to meet up with friends or have a read and on a nice day there are seats outside to enjoy the view of Botanic Avenue!

I’ve long been an advocate of the Stranmillis Sinnamon which I spent a few evenings outside with a large espresso and the company of my girlfriend. It was always a nice atmosphere, outside and in, and with free wi-fi(a bit of an essential in coffee shops these days) The Botanic Avenue branch is located towards to middle of the street just beside the Cresent. It’s a little bit smaller than the other coffee shop but none the less has the same vibe and atmosphere. I’ve only been once and had a coffee and a sandwich. One of the best things about Sinammon is the overall quality of their home-made snacks. I had a sandwich with roast beef and horseradish(the two go together like Jeremy Paxman and University Challenge) It was some sort of multi-grain bread, tasty, just the right thickness. The beef was thickly cut, tender if maybe a little dry and had a thin layer condiment on both sides. A superb sandwich and the coffee is pretty good too, if you’re getting a black coffee as I did refills are also on the cards.
