Gismo was always going to be a hit with me as I blimming love Gadget/hobby shops. They awaken a certain nostalgia within me, there used to be a gadget shop on Castlecourt when I was a kid and every Christmas I’d be lured in by the flashing lights and the robot hamsters chasing their own tails. So when I walked by Gismo, just before the entrance of Victoria Square, my youthful exuberance dragged me in to have a wee look. When I walked in I thought it was going to be mainly gadgets but to my surprise they had a health stock of models including model trains, planes and automobiles(They have a huge model Titanic in the window that won’t be long in getting snapped up). These are kept under lock and key behind glass — so you know they aren’t toys! They also sell drones — you know the kind you can attach a Go Pro too. There are airsoft guns(also under lock and key) and little stocking filler type presents. If you’re a collector or just a gadget enthusiast like me then Gismo is the place for you. As their stock is so varied you can get an item for £5 but you could also spend hundreds in here. It really is manchild paradise in Gismo.
