On the occasional morning journey into work, I will stop whilst facing heavy traffic on the Lisburn road and grab a quick coffee. Espresso elements offers up one of the best lattes you can get. Friendly staff and a quiet location would offer a lovely respite from the dull drive to my job, if I had the time to sit and enjoy it! Until that day I will be content with consistently good coffee. With an operational Bus lane opposite the shop every weekday morning, Parking can be tricky, but it’s definitely worth the short walk from wherever you can abandon your vehicle. I look forward to visiting on my day off.

Lisburn Road is a wash with coffee shops, I would easily say there six in a one mile stretch. Espresso Elements is right at the top end of the Lisburn Road and only a stones throw from Starbucks, so why would you go here and not Starbucks, where you know what you’re getting? Well here’s why; Espresso Elements is warm friendly and really well presented. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. I was asked by the lovely waitress to grab a seat and before I even had a chance to get my laptop out another cheerful waiter came over to tell me the Wifi code(‘coffeeismagic’ by the way). The Wifi was rapid too! I got a filter Coffee for £1.95 — it was strong but not too over bearing. Espresso Elements is very popular with the ladies of Lisburn Road but this makes for a lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and laid back. It’s not just coffee they sell, they have a fruit basket as you walk in the door and they also have pastries and sandwiches on offer. I noticed that they also offer outside catering — could be a good place to contact for an outside event. I really enjoyed my morning at Espresso Element — makes a nice change from a chain store.

A small but pleasant coffee shop with sophisticated dark décor that lends itself well to going there in the evening should the mood take you — it’s open late on Thursdays and till eight o’clock on Sundays. They take the coffee seriously here with a wide selection of blends and types, extra effort worth making as the resulting coffee is very good. Though it was lunchtime there did not seem to be so much emphasis on food here, though the sandwiches from nearby Arcadia delicatessen indicated an interest in good quality and my simple choice of bagel and cream cheese was faultless — fresh and toasted perfectly.
