Loved this wee place, its a more modern place for a bite to eat, very cheap food and fills you up quick, I’m normally a chubby cherub fan but if I was looking for food on Arthur street id be torn between both. Very open but relaxing atmosphere, suit couples or groups were the chubby is best for couples. Love both places equally.

Dinadina, a small but brilliant little hub tucked away down a side street off city hall. Known for its true Italian style and has lived up to the appraisals id heard. The chef and staff are Italian and the passion comes across in their food. It is simple but well made piadinas(north Italian flat bread) with a collection of different fillings. Spicy sausage, chicken, Parma ham, veggie etc with suggested fillings like cheese, roasted peppers and sauces. You can, of course make your own preference. It was great to see the food made in front of you and taste the good quality ingredients and freshly cooked bread. Lots of other things on the menu to chose from like ciabatta and pizza. I had my piadina split between spicy sausage and beef burger. Was a great way to taste more. Probably one of the only places in Belfast that season/flavour their meats so well that it didn’t even need the salads and sauces to complement. Was a good sized portion considering the place mainly caters for brunch/lunchtime. I will add, for people who would assume it’s a greasy, unhealthy Italian. Take note, it’s not. I usually meal prep and would rarely eat out straight after a workout. This place uses fresh, real ingredients and the bread is simply flour, water, olive oil and salt. Team that with meat and you’ve perfect post workout meal for under a fiver. I did notice a charming little breakfast menu, mini chocolate piadinas! Or pastries with coffee or tea. Four desserts to choose from, star cake(milk soaked cake with layers of cream) tiramisu, chocolate Nutella cookies or chocolate salami(meat free) I had star cake. Was a subtle flavour that could have been a little sweeter. The setting is in keeping with the style with Italian movie posters, signs and main wall has an artist mural. Lots of seating space too though takeaway seems to be a big thing. I have already recommended it to my friends who I know would love it!

Just had my first DinaDina experience and it’s safe to say that I’ll be back for more! The food feels authentic, and it was quick, which is a real bonus when you’re out on your lunch break. For just £6 I got a delicious piadina filled with peppers, mushrooms, smoked cheese and probably some other loveliness as well! Out of a small-ish menu, there were two veggie options too, which is always appreciated by the herbivores :) It’s a bit tucked away, but was busy enough when I was in, which is reassuring. We didn’t struggle to get a seat though, as they offer takeaway as well as sit-in. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the food was good and the price was great. What more do you want?

I visited Dina Dina last night as part of the Unilocal Secret Supper event and it was brilliant! The piadina’s are to die for, having never heard of this food before I needed some help choosing and the staff were more than helpful. The tiramasu was one of the best i’ve ever had so I would highly recommend giving that a go! This is a casual, relaxed type of place where everything is made from scratch in front of you which you just cannot beat — I would pop in for a bite to eat while in Belfast anytime! The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is the fact there is no toilet on site and so if you sit in you will need to find facilities elsewhere, but other than that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone — give it a go you won’t be disappointed :)

Ate in Dina Dina last night. What a treat! This was my first time having a Piadina(traditional flatbread from the North of Italy) I had the La Doppia which is two half portions of flatbread, one half Ciccio and the other half Gallo, and they were absolutely divine! So fresh, full of flavour, and delicious! To finish, I had the Star Cake, which was rich and delicious! The décor of the restaurant is modern and funky with lots of posters and images from Italian movies on the walls, and relaxed bench and stool type seating. Can’t wait to revisit!

Last night was the first I had been in Dina Dina. It was absolutely beautiful. The piadina’s are delicious. Everything was so fresh and tasty. It would be somewhere I’d like to nip into and grab a bite if I was in town. There are tables and benches so you can sit in and eat or take away. The staff are so friendly and helpful and can point you in the right direction regarding what to have on your piadina. They were very knowledgeable.

Ate here last night as part of the Unilocal secret supper… have to say the food was fantastic! The owner gave us the rundown on the dishes and had the food ready in next to no time! The place is small but well organised, laid back and trendy too The food I ate was la doppia(a filled flatbread split in two so you can choose two fillings) song chose classica and italia… both were awesome! Fresh, delicious, cheap and very yummy! I had star cake for dessert… it comes with a «warning» that’s it’s about 2 million calories and let me tell you… it’s worth every single one lol! It’s damn good!!! If you haven’t been, call in! Like now! Seriously? What you waiting for… go!

What a treat, guess where my new favourite place in town is for lunch? I was here last night for the Secret Supper event and it did not disappoint. I’m dying to get back and try everything else on the menu! On Upper Arthur street its just far enough away from the main city crowds to make it a peaceful haven. The décor inside is brilliant, totally edgy and modern but comfortable. The food is traditional and Italian, what more could you ask for? Well you get more, you get the friendliness of the guys who own/run the place. They made us feel very welcome, explained about their food and philosophy and just generally helped it be a great wee night. Dina Dina I will be back soon, I’m already dreaming up flavour combos for those flatbreads and i’ve been promised a customised pasta if I request it… Watch this space!

Great wee place with lots of character. Fab to be served by real Italians cooking authentic Italian food. The taste is authentic, fresh and non greasy. Even the deserts taste healthy. Love the modern Italian décor. very relaxed in here. Look forward to trying the rest of the Padina menu, the mini pizza and the desert pizza if I am in again. It’s more a deli sort of style that you don’t stay for too long. Mostly high stools. Also there are no toilets.

I attended a Unilocal event here and it was my first time here. Nice cosy seating area and very friendly staff. Food was fresh and tasty and came quickly. The Tiramsu was yummy and fresh and was a decent sized portion. I would visit Dina Dina again if I’m after a quick lunch or snack. The only thing was that there is no toilets in the shop for customers.

Big, big fan of this place. The people who run it are just some of the most friendly staff you’ll meet anywhere in Belfast. The food is fresh, tasty, filling, and you can really tell these guys give a shit when it comes to the quality of the food they serve. Can get very busy at lunch times, and going at the end of the day might mean a limited selection is available, but honestly I haven’t had a bad sandwich there yet. As said above, food is fresh tasting, you get a lot of sandwich for your money, and admittedly it’s pretty enjoyable hearing everyone gabber away in Italian while you’re waiting for your food. I’d recommend going for the Gallo(chicken the star here, but I could eat a whole bowlful of the peppers that come with it), with some star cake, a mini pizza or two, then going home for a wee sleep. Oh get their loyalty card too as you’ll definitely want to come back.

I vsited Dina Dina today for a quick bite to eat whilst out Saturday shopping. The food was absolutely beautiful, extremely fresh and tasty. I opted for the ‘Italia’ homemade flatbread which included tomatoes, rocket, mozzarella and pesto. The flatbread is literally made in front of you and is called a Piadina on the menu. This Piadina really is the freshest tasting food I’ve eaten in a long time. Much better than a soggy café sandwich! Dina Dina have a small but interesting menu of Italian flatbreads, ciabattas, pasta, pizzas and some sweet things including a tiramisu, which sadly I had to resist due to my January New Year diet. Coffee’s good, wifi’s free, staff are helpful and the décor is bright and funky. Would highly recommend Dina Dina for a casual, delicious lunch.

Fantastic, authentic Italian lunch! Home made Italian breads and traditional fillings, sides and sauces! I had the Classica Piadina which at £4.95 i was more than happy with for fresh Italian in the heart of Belfast! Go for the Piadina!

Gonna get me some Dina! YaGetme bruv? Ok so really awful London jokes… this small but mighty gem is new and im certain its destined for big things once people realise its here. The menu is really simple and everything is cooked fresh. If you love Italian food then you are gonna strike it lucky here. The first time we visited it was late in the afternoon and they had very few ingredients left, but i refrained from Unilocaling on the premise that it was sorta my own fault for arriving after the lunch time rush. Today we visited and i made sure i was in there before lunch! I had the Callo –this was delicious. Sweet Chilli chicken in a soft tortilla with veg! The portion and price where just right with the whole thing taxing me less than £6(as a city centre worker, that seems reasonable to me). If you are stuck in a rut and want some DinaDina(ill give up with the poor play on words) you should absolutely go and try this place out. Oh and they have free WIFI for their customers, this is pretty sweet if you want to have a working lunch or if you’re data conscious.

Cracking wee spot! I’ve walked past this place lots and been meaning to go; I wish I had earlier. They offer Italian sandwiches in traditional piadina flat bread. I’ve had these in Italy and whilst I can’t say they are truly authentic, I can say they are delicious. The fillings they are probably more catered towards local tastes which I liked. I ordered a ‘ciccia’. A flatbread sandwich with an Italian sausage, smoked cheese and peppers filling. It was quite large and very tasty! They also do small snacks like mini pizzas and slices. I couldn’t resist and also tried a mini pizza. It was great and only £1. They do take away and sit in with a few small tables. The staff seemed to be Italian(I think) and very knowledgable about their products. I’ll definitely be back!

Toady when it as dina time I headed to Dina Dina! I had passed this place a few times, usually when parking on Montgomery Street Car Park and walking in to town from there, but I always said to myself that I would pop in for lunch at some point. From the outside Dina Dina has that unmistakable Italian feel and you’d be excused for thinking it was just another Belfast pizzeria. But on entrance it will become clear that this is very different from your typical Italian. Dina Dina specialises in Italian flat bread dishes or should I say baskets from the North of Italy(I did my research). There’s nothing quite like this on offer anywhere else in the City. The menu is small and plastered on a blackboard above the counter. I went for a Ciccio which was Italian Peppers, smoked sausage, smoked cheese and BBQ suace. All this cost £5.25 which I suppose is reasonable for a City Centre lunch. We decided to sit in as the interior décor was so appealing — high table with lab type stools dominate the centre of the restaurant and there are some low tables on one side(probably seats about 35 people max). The tiled walls are adorned with wall art and framed vintage movie posters all creating a quirky feel. The food is served in red baskets and despite the portions looking small they are certainly filling. The one thing that caught my attention about the food was the flavour. The sausage and the smoked cheese complemented each other perfectly creating a really nice combination. The food only took around 5 minutes from ordering to delivery so if you’re looking for a quick lunch this is the place to go. Also I noticed there were a few veggie options on the menu making Dina Dina accessible for all tastes. Overall I was impressed with the food but not blown away, it’s certainly a break from your normal sandwich lunch and it’s nice to have something hot for under a tenner. I’m definitely a fan — would be interested to see if they expand their menu — I reckon if they do this place could rival Boojum for queues!
