10 minute walk from the entrance to the ulster hospital in Dundonald. A gem of a café… small and cozy with great food. It was extremely busy when we arrived so we queued for a table, was worth the wait. Quite an extensive menu, something to suit all tastes. Breakfasts… from Fry’s to porridge, from scrambled eggs to eggs Benedict, every angle covered. Lunches… You can choose from the deli counter, sandwiches and salads or from a range of hot food items. I chose the steak ciabatta which was cooked to perfection, served with chips and a dressed salad and was very reasonably priced. There is a wide variety of hot drinks and delicious looking tray bakes and desserts on display. All food can be ordered for collection also. The café opens as a bistro Thursday and Friday evenings.

It needs a menu and prices in the window so you can decide if you want to eat there or not, cant fault the service or food but its a bit expensive. Not sure if id go back again. Maybe if prices were better or they had better portion sizes. Also the net curtains were shut most of the time and we didn’t know if they were open or not.

We went to Posh Nosh in Dundonald last Saturday morning. Two polite and friendly girls took care of us. I had a filled soda with bacon, egg and sausage. My wife had the French toast. They also do great scones. Definitely be back in the future. Strongly recommend.

This lovely wee coffee shop is just fab. Great food, coffees and desserts served with a smile! The premises may be small, and due to its popularity, Café Nosh is very often filled to the brim, but the service and food more than make up for it. The ice-cream is particularly good, but the sandwiches and paninis are also delicious. Their traybakes /muffins etc are usually quite big, but truly scrumptious. I remember sharing a muffin with a friend, and even between the two of us, we just couldn’t finish it. Once again though, the high standard of customer service is what really makes it for me. The staff are more than helpful, and genuinely lovely. On one particularly busy day, the staff were rushed off their feet and had forgotten about my hot chocolate, but as soon as they realised, the apologies came thick and fast. Bless ‘em. At this time of year, the Nosh team provide picnic baskets filled with goodies, including the rugs! What a wonderfully novel idea. I do pity them though… one week of persistently heavy rain and showers and the Northern Irish summer looks like another washout. Do nip into this delightful little café if you’re around the area… it does have some of the best Nosh in town.

I love this little spot so much you are going to think I am actually the owner, but I promise I am not! Tucked away on the Comber Road in Dundonald, this is an absolute gem for day time food. The menu is interesting and well thought out and every time I have been eaten there I have almost been embarrassed by how clean my plate is when it is cleared away. Nosh! serves breakfast and lunch and all the little in between times goodies you could ever need. Let’s start by talking about breakfast. Order a breakfast soda with sausage and bacon and you’re in for a treat. It sounds pretty ordinary but those guys do something with it to make it the best you’ve ever had. Maybe it’s the butcher’s sausages rather than the rubbery pink lumps you get in some breakfast places. Lunchtime means the truly spectacular ‘Steak Out’ — a ginormous ciabatta sandwich with steak, caramelised onions, cheese and their secret recipe sauce. Served with a salad garnish and the lovely creamy kind of coleslaw, this is just so good its ridiculous. Although all my attentions are usually focused on my Steak Out, I have also seen delicious looking pasta, stew, paninis and salads going past which look great too. I am truly a glutton with a massive appetite but even I have to get my dessert to go after a Steak Out. The tray bakes are legendary and big enough to share(although it would have to be with someone special and the sharing part would be grudging). I was pleased to see a note on the menu telling customers exactly where the meats and ice cream have come from and Nosh! will even make up picnic hampers with the dishes of your choice and provide picnic blankets — how fab is that! If only they could provide the weather to go with it…
