The Spring continental market only stays for a long weekend unlike the Christmas market that stays for weeks, but it’s lovely to see it at this time of year. The warmer weather makes it more enjoyable to dander around and have some food or have a few drinks. Many types of food are available and I always try something different each time I visit. There are foods from all over the world so everyone will find something they like! Different types of beer can be purchased in the beer tent and you can get them in giant steins. Other stalls sell things that you can take home, like tasty cupcakes, breads, cheeses, meats, bath bombs, soaps, jewellery, gifts, plants, and many more.

This is a great addition to City Hall as the sun starts to pop it’s head out from behind the clouds. Following on from the success of the Christmas Continental Market the Spring market was bound to be popular. I headed down here on Thursday for a bite to eat and I must say the choice is a little overwhelming, there’s paella, hotdogs, burger stands, waffle stations and even a traditional Polish bar serving steins of lager. The market is a great place to walk around — there’s also a great selection of international craft stalls. Having this market in the grounds of City Hall is a great way to draw locals to the city centre. I highly recommend trying the Rocket and Relish burgers and the hotdogs(As you can tell I have sampled a few stalls). Also give the Polish bar a visit. There’s a nice outside seating area perfect for an afternoon pint. There really is something for everyone at the Spring Market — it’s nice to walk around a market at City Hall and not have 20 layers on to keep you from getting frostbite.
