This little café on Royal Avenue has changed hands so many times I’ve lost count. It’s always slightly worrying when this happens because it’s never totally clear why. Anyway, despite my reservations, I called in to grab a panini one day after work and it was alright. I can’t say I have any complaints about it, but it didn’t really rock my world either. It was £4.50 for a chicken and brie panini, which seems about right for the city centre, but it was just a bit forgettable. They didn’t put any kind of salad on, which was a bit disappointing, but I didn’t specifically ask for it, so maybe they didn’t want to assume. I wouldn’t be in a mad rush to go back for the food, but due to its location, it’s a nice place to sit and watch the world go by with a coffee in hand.
