Glasgow has a number of really nice parks, and this one is probably not the most famous. But if you want a change from the city centre parks, this is a very nice choice for a weekend walk. It could seem difficult to get there, but you can either come from Maryhill Road(bus 18 and 61 from city centre or by train), or if you want to make a real good walk, you can start from Botanic Gardens at top of Byres Road and then follow up the river Kelvin walkway. Once you’re in the park, you’ll enjoy a peaceful day out in the grenery, passing by a beautiful little stone bridge over the Kelvin, and if the weather’s clear enough, there are some nice viewpoints of the hills of Mugdock and Strathblane. Moreover, the park is quite lively as it is the home of the University of Glasgow vet school. I’ll be really happy to go back in the spring!
