You know, this is a great little pub. The boyfriend and I went out with some friends for pre– dinner drinks and also to watch a football match. This being a local favourite for many years, this was the perfect spot to stop on our way to dinner. I really enjoyed this little pub because it was local to where we were and the atmosphere was cozy and more on the quiet side. I quite enjoy being in a pub with friends and being able to enjoy drinks and conversation without having to yell in to their ears or not understand them whatsoever. I also quite enjoy pubs where everyone knows each other, and this pub was just that. Everyone was chatting with everyone and I felt included in everything. Buckshead Tavern, although a bit on the old side, has three TV’s, a pool table and a wee casino machine to play if you’re so inclined. The women’s toilets were clean and massive– always a welcomed sight in pubs. The bartender was friendly and service was quick and efficient. The prices are what makes this place a local favourite, I’m sure. There were 5 of us to start and each round of drinks was only £13.05! If we were anywhere in the city, that would have been enough for two drinks. Bonus for sure. Most definitely be back for cheap booze and great chat.
