I absolutely love this café/grocer store. It’s something a bit different to your average café or similar. It’s an urban farm shop that aims to use fresh local produce to provide tantalising plates of food to please everyone. You can order anything from a quick sandwich to eat in or take away to a joint of meat and all the trimmings for a family roast! I often come here for one of the super food salads, you get 3 or 4 different salads which you can eat in or take away. And it costs between £4−6 depending on what’s on offer. The salads vary every time today I had a cucumber and fennel salad, lentil and beans and a butternut squash salad. I was feeling hungry so had it with a portion of mushroom and thyme quiche. The quiche tasted amazing I loved the combination of mushroom and thyme and it was not dominated by the egg and cream filling so was quite light. The crust was soft and flakey, perfect! There’s a really nice atmosphere in here, the staff are chilled and the customers vary from quick stop yuppies to yummy mummies having coffee and cake with their friends and children. It is a little small so can feel a little overwhelming at times but there are a few seats outside if you wanted to escape the commotion. I would highly recommend this place, and my colleague/lunch mate confirmed she is a convert too!
