What a great place to be! Went here some years ago when on a long weekend in Bath. On a re-visit we discovered that it has lost none of its’ charm and allurement. Rummage, jostle and bustle is a real pick-me-up. Loads of tasty grub aboutall at decent prices. Central to most other delights of Bath. We will be back here more often now as we have family at the University. Will keep you updated.

Love the sandwich shop/deli stall on the right as you go in! Great value, quality ingredients and service with a smile. They clearly take pride in what they do.

Great place!!! Always visit the Market when on town. I love the new café that has opened, staff take a lot of trouble to serve hot drinks and food, crepes are tops! Lots of other stalls, books, etc

Excellent place to rummage around — locally produced food, fun stuff, books, materials, hardware stuff, cafes, old building — and handily can nip through from High Street/Northumberland Street to Grand Parade. Recommended.

One of the enduring remnants of an older Bath where unique and independent shops were king. Under one roof you’ll find all the brik-a-brak you could ever need and more. And it’s cheap too. As a child I remember buying all my books at the second hand book store that’s still running there. Now I tend to pop in for the amazing veggie Samosas from one of the deli counters in there and for my DIY hardware needs. Long may this place survive. An oasis in a desert of chain stores.

Guildhall Market is worth a visit! Although only small it sells a range of items from lots of stalls, there are clothes stalls, a fancy dress corner, even a small café. You could easily spend a few hours in here, browsing the unusual things you wouldnt find on the high streeet.

One of my favourite places to browse in Bath. I love the lush architecture of the place, and the feel of old-meets-new. The most dangerous place for me is the delicatessen to the right as you go in the main area. The olives are always a treat, but for sweet things I always pounce on the home-made fudge when it’s there. Not the chewy commercial stuff — this is the real-deal sugary crumbly heart-attack-in-a-bag type. Vanilla is good but the coffee fudge just rocks! I’m a big fan of the second-hand bookstall too, being an afficionado of history-myteries and I’ve supplemented my collection almost every time I’ve been in there. Lovely aromas from the coffee stall, almost irrestistable. The café is really funky too, closed off on the side as it is. I used to always enjoy a plate of comforting faggots, mushy peas and chips for a winter warmer. There’s so many trinkets and nick-nacks it’s way too easy to spend money there!

An institution in Bath this is a market housed in the Guildhall building. It’s been going for years and is open every day except Sunday. It is full of permanent market stalls selling everything you can imagine, such as: a meat counter, sweet shop, leather goods such as handbags and belts, a great second hand book stall and also a fantastic haberdashery which has everything from padding to ribbons. My favourite stall in the Guildhall Market is a lovely little boutique selling costume and vintage jewellery every colour of the rainbow and every style under the sun. It’s pricing is extremely reasonable too, you can get earring and necklace sets and it’s all so unique great for parties especially with Christmas and New Year coming up!

Brilliant market — I love the local produce, the craft stall is fantastic, they have a large array of items. The book stall has some great gems and the coffee shop is perfect for taking a load off when it’s raining(which is most of the time). The sweet shop is good and the party shops usually have what you need.

FANTASTIC place — loads of stalls/shops, all indoor, bargains everywhere. My favourites are the hardware/household groceries, crafts and wool, lightbulb(you wouldn’t believe the variety!) and samosa places. You can get virtually everything here, but not open Sundays. Don’t miss it!
