Total satisfaction! Lovely staff, very relaxed and make you feel welcome and comfortable. Terrific setting and décor, very contemporary without being cold and uninviting, the façade very in keeping with Bath architecture. Menu is very good, nice selection without being too much choice, just perfect good daily specials. The food was fabulous, fresh and well cooked, nicely flavoured. Strongly recommend and we will certainly return. Thanks for a great evening

On our way into town one night, our cab driver asked«where to?» and I responded with«where would you suggest for a good meal?» and that’s when we were taken to Enzo. It’s much nicer inside than I had expected. We were seated by an incredibly friendly hostess who took our wine order promptly. It was a bit of a wait before we were able to place our dinner order but when we did, I opted for calamari and pasta with courgette and chicken, and The Man opted for a special starter that made me think of Italian beef olives, and a veal main. He loved both of his dishes but I was a bit uninspired by them. I found the starter quite heavy and just can’t get myself on the vean train. But, as I said he loved them and that’s what counts. I found the calamari a bit salty to my taste, but absolutely perfectly cooked. The pasta was really tasty and moreish and I ate until I felt unwell(due to stuffing myself) before passing the dish off to The Man who enjoyed finishing it off. What really made this place stand out was the chat of the hostess. Our waiter was neither here nor there, but the hostess(owner? owner’s daughter?) ran the ship and brought the experience up from three(perfectly decent) to four(very nice) stars.

I can’t understand the bad reviews of this place! I thought the food was fantastic, the service was great too. We had two bottles of red. We both had the specials as appetizers(mine being a crab-stuffed tomato– his being a calamari parmesana) We both had pasta dishes for dinner which were perfection! The dessert was a little lacking, but the overall experience was fantastic. I’m from NY which has great Italian food, and I thought the pasta dishes were right on par. Service was friendly, place was bustling and the wine was flowing!

I was drawn into Enzo by the offers they had on a board outside(even though I didn’t end up taking advantage for the offers). I had noticed that they had newly opened as well. The décor is very nice… modern, but inviting, in fact I thought I might be a little under dressed, but the other people in there seemed to be casual. There were a lot of staff, but not as many customers… and while some were very calm, there were other staff buzzing around and appeared to be in a panic. I was quickly shown to a table and a drink order taken. The menu certainly looked very good… quite a bit of variety to suit everyone’s tastes and I also thought the prices looked very reasonable. I decided to have a starter, the soup of the day which was a carrot soup and basil soup with some chives on top… it was not at all what I expected, in fact it was probably better than I had expected. It was delicious and a nice way to warm up from being outside in the cold. I chose the Risotto al Limone E Gamberetti — Arborio rice, prawns in a white wine, lemon and garlic sauce. After a little bit, my risotto came out to me. It was a very large portion, a bit too much really, but if you are very hungry, you’ll certainly have enough to eat! It looked delicious, but I started looking closer and noticed that the prawns looked like those tiny little ones that you find in the frozen aisle section of the grocery store… I wasn’t happy about that. I dug in and the taste was good, although I noticed that whoever had cooked this had gone overboard with the lemon zest. I’m not a fan of chewing citrus peel. I was too full to try dessert, but decided to have a cup of tea before getting on my way. My tea came with two amaretti cookies, which I thought was a really nice touch. While my main was not the best risotto I have ever had, I would be willing to go back and try something else on the menu. The service was great, the soup was delicious, the little cookies with my tea were a nice touch and make me believe that maybe some of the other items on the menu might be a better choice than the risotto.
