New Pound store opened this month where the old Top Shop used to be.
Has wide spacious aisles so ideal for push-​chairs and wheel chair uses.

Poundland offers a good range of everything for a pound ! Craft, food, toiletries, tools, DIY and seasonal items. Well worth a look before going to other shops to see if they have what you want. Shop can get very busy and untidy and often congestion by tills and doors but if you are only paying a pound then this is worth it.

This is a little Aladdins Cave! you can count on always finding what you want, and at only a quid, that can’t be bad!
Unsurprisingly the shop is always full, but with the prices so low, what do you expect.
There are so many things stocked, its hard to know where to begin, but there is gardening equipment, toiletries, stationery, kitchen quipment, pet care, clothing, dvd’d, batteries, diy stuff, I could go on and on, best pop down yourselves and discover whats on offer!

This shop is great for buying things for a pound. It’s amazing what you can get for one gold coin. I recently bought some lovely glitter pens and colouring books for my daughter that would have cost a lot more in other shops. Not surprisingly the shop is always busy but the staff remain cheerful and serve you as quick as they can. The christmas decorations were quite good value although I don’t think they’ll last that long. The brown paper, bubble wrap and packing tape also presented a bargain and very good value for money.

Does what it says on the tin!
Don’t go into this shop if you have other shopping to do — as you will come out with bags of stuff.
Tucked away up the end of the town, this shopp still pulls in the crows and can be manic — watch out for old ladies with trollies.
If you like a bargain this place is for you!

This is one of my favourite shops. It aways means I’ll go home with something, even if I’m broke. I have had some excellent buys in here in the past. Mostly in the ladies hair care section, childrens toys or dvds and colouroll wallpaper. I go for the products that I have seen in other stores for £3 to £5. There no better feeling than taking home a few bargains. My only wish for this store is that it was bigger like Southend or Lakeside.
