Beefeater Grill

I prefer the term, «Meh, me thinks not!».
Arrived at Beefeater Grill at their Basildon Essex location. The wait was 10 minutes. We waited at their bar. They have a beautiful bar with great priced drinks, mixed drinks for £2.99.
We were seated prompted. Although, our waitress came by 20 minutes later and said, «I’ll be back to take your orders», she came back 20 minutes later, it took her over forty minutes to take our order. I only had a limited time in Essex, and I didn’t want to spend 2 hours on getting a bite to eat.
When she finally did take our order, I saw the burgers go by several times and they looked yummy, I asked her, where the beef was purchased from as we are in the midst of the horse meat scandal being mixed in our beef products and ground beef is the culprit, it was a need to know question. The waitress was offended I had asked where the beef was purchased from. I wanted to know that if I ordered a beef burger, I would be ingesting a beef burger not horse. She said it was local, OK fine, so I ordered the burger.
The order came out 40 minutes later, the burger was tasteless and so was the other fixings. The jacket potato had melted cheese on it but I could not taste it and even my side of sour cream tasted taste less. I ordered the beef burger with cheese and bacon, but couldn’t taste any of it. It was a flop at best. I only ate ½ because I am not wasting burger calories on something that doesn’t taste nice.
Overall the experience was «Meh, me think not!».
