Dog & Partridge

We are regulars at the Dog and Partridge and go at least once every 2 weeks.
The last time we went there was about 10 of us and they handled everything very well, we all had separate bills so it didn’t get confusing and they managed to bring out all the food at around the same time.
I don’t really have a favourite meal there although I love their soups and roast dinners, they are always delicious. And the desserts are very tasty.
I sometimes think there isn’t that much variety though. They always have a special menu and they do theme nights but the main menu itself is quite limited and apart from the roast dinner, there isn’t much on there that appeals to me.
The one and only thing I’ve had here which I really didn’t like was the steak, it was really tough and I honestly couldn’t eat it. The pepper sauce that came with it was far too strong and overpowering. My boyfriend had a different steak the same night and he really didn’t like his either. So I do not recommend having a steak here.
Overall though it’s a lovely pub with great staff and the food is very nice and reasonably priced.
