No, it did not hit the spot :(
Highlights: Location was easy to find, Staff was friendly with good décor and set up.
Can improve: Food was average at best and had a lot of black pepper for some reason. We ordered one starter and two mains, all of which disappointed.
Benchmark: For me the best Indian food in London would be Delhi Spice, Namaste Lounge and Everest Lounge.
Dined in June 2015 and will not be returning again.

What a great find if you want an Indian meal that’s a little different from the same old stuff. This place offers quite a different menu of things. No humdrum lists of bhunas, rogans, and so on here. Check out their menu online and you’ll see the odd comfortable old favourite, but mostly they offer things you might not have tried before.
It’s an immaculate place in Sunningdale with a tiger theme. Dining as a couple will see one of you get an orange plate and one get a black plate. Little touches, all appreciated. And they have the most perfectly mannered, jolly and attentive mature staff.
Been here three times now, each time incredible! The little lamb kebab starters in wraps are fantastic, and another time. the shammi lamb patties, done differently again in a basket, were very much enjoyed.
The food has been so good, I’ve had desserts here (which I rarely bother with at an Indian meal) and wow, this one they do with three little warm sponge things is delicious.
Anything to be improved on? Well, they don’t use heating plates, so if you order a lot of dishes you have to tuck in fast, as my veggie side dish wasn’t the warmest when I got round to it. And watch out as they add the 10% tip to the bill. Yes, it’s optional, and clearly printed, not hand-​written, but we were scrambling round to add a cash tip and only noticed seconds before handing it over. Nearly gave them a £13 tip having added £7 to the £6 they’d ‘billed’!!! Don’t really care for that practice, personally.
So, the place is dearer than some, but only by a little. But it is superb, and well worth trying for that delightfully different menu.
