On my out to watch the force awakens @ the omniplex, we decided to grab some grub whilst we were in Antrim. My initial perception of the back shed was great. A really nice pub/restaurant feel about it and you can see into the kitchen. I love this; I like to see how the cogs turn behind the scenes. The menu was exactly what we were looking for, burgers, chicken wings, bbq, pizzas etc. I had a burger & my gf had the chicken wings. Neither were very good. The burger was dry and tough. The accompanying chips were clearly bought in frozen and were harder than Conor McGregor! On the plus side, the burger was huge but I left most of it. According to the menu, the wings were supposed to be «fiery». They weren’t. They were bland. In fact, they looked and tasted suspiciously like the ones from the tesco hot meats counter. There was a chippy next door that smelled great. Should have went there!

The cova inn/back shed mainly attracts an older crowd although rick and steve on a thursday night pull in some younger ones and the karaōke has it packed out with the younger crowd. The cheapest bar in antrim for drinks baisically, most staff are very friendly, as are the people who go. A good night out if you have loads of friends there, otherwise it tends to lack atmosphere. Good for a quiet drink though. Also the back shed does amazing pizza!
