I am usually very happy to support a local, family-​run business, but in the case of Dees Cycles the family-​run bit counts against them; not content in just being rude and unhelpful to their customers, they also had a full on row amongst themselves in full view of the people they were meant to be serving. When the family crisis finally subsided enough for the woman (who I took to be the mother of the lad who had been shouting at her) to serve me, she was rude and condescending; customer facing was obviously not her forte. Oh, and they are over-​priced 10 quid for a gear cable? You must be having a laugh. I had a similar experience last time I made the mistake of shopping here, I won’t be making the same mistake again.

My husband bought a bike from here a few weeks ago. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and give you lots of advice on what bike would suit you, and any accessories you might want to purchase, without giving it the hard sell. They can get it all ready for you within about an hour or so, and they let you try it out round the back. We even got a discount even though it was one of the cheapest bikes in the shop. Would definitely recommend this local store.
