Spud Spot in Airdrie serves really excellent Baked Potatoes. They are huge with loads of butter and heaped fillings. Good choice of toppings and you can get half and half. So I usually go for Cheese and Coleslaw as their coleslaw is really good. Always have other items on their menu. Burger and chips are good for a change although they are a bit on the greasy side. Staff would not win any service awards but they are okay and you are usually served quite quickly which is a bonus. Prices are good. Cheap as chips you might say.

Spud Spot is a little takeaway shop in Airdrie town centre. Surprisingly enough they sell mostly baked potatoes but also your usual things like chips etc. Their baked potatoes are lovely — big and smothered in butter (if you want — and I usually do). There’s a wide choice of toppings but my favourite is simply cheese. They’re also nice with macaroni cheese, yum! The staff tend to be a bit distracted so ‘service with a smile’ isn’t something they’re familiar with but if you can put up with that for 5 minutes then it’s a good place to pick up dinner on days you just can’t be bothered cooking or somewhere to pop in after the pub.
