I was here with my parents, and my first impressions were that they’ve been quite gratuitous with their décor, I mean this place looked fancy.
Service was alright, though they may want to look into a more effective means of communicating between one another, we had conflicting messages from different members of staff on our orders to the point in which we had a duplicate order!
This restaurant is cramped and very busy, but that is with reason. The food quality was great. I really enjoyed their soup (which was one of those thick fish soups), steamed fish and their noodles. Dessert was rather interesting, considering how a Chinese restaurant would even think of serving chocolate brownies a-​la-​mode (i.e. with ice cream) when what I was really expecting was red bean soup (紅豆沙). Nothing against brownies, they actually got the moisture and nut balance just right, but it just feels SO WEIRD having a dessert like that there!
This was a pretty good place for dinner, and I’m fairly sure they’ll come again. I’ll tag along if I’m around.
